Vancouver Island’s Georgia Murray has been selected to the top 8 competing in CBC Television’s Cover Me Canada.
The CBC had musicians from across the country submit audition videos/recordings of themselves performing a cover selected from a handful of songs and a lucky few would participate in what looks to be an American Idol-like competition on national TV.
Strangely instead of a Top 10, a top 8 was chosen. I guess there’s only 8 episodes?
Anyway, congratulations to Georgia Murray for making it on the show! Though the downside is that due to commitments to the program she had to pull out of her scheduled set at this year’s Rifflandia Festival
